一直很喜歡「莎翁情史 Shakespeare in Love」這部電影，對於影片中在書桌前拿著羽毛筆，振筆疾書的那個年輕浪漫充滿文采的莎士比亞印象很深刻，當然這也跟那個電影男主角很帥有一點關係。
其中有一段描述他靈感一來，邊寫邊唸：”Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day？Thou art more lovely and more temperate…………………”，終於在尤克強所譯的詩集「用你的眼波和我對飲」，看到了這首詩的中英文全文，這也是莎士比亞所著的這一首詩膾炙人口的情詩之一。(註1)
我欲將你比做夏日

妳的嬌柔卻更勝之
疾風摧殘五月的新蕾
夏季的限期又頻頻相催
烈日有時太過灼熱
燦爛的陽光還經常失色
塵世的紅顏終究不免凋零
或遭不測或因自然的無情
但妳的夏日永遠不會消逝
妳的完美也不會流失
死神也不能把妳困在陰間
因妳已化身為永恆的詩篇

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,

By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd
