西雅圖公共圖書館 The Seattle Public Library

․在這一期的天下雜誌閱讀到楊佳儒所寫的「Rem Koolhaas圖書館－西雅圖市民最愛的客廳」，關於西雅圖公共圖書館The Seattle Public Library的介紹很多，但我對於作者於文章中說明鋼鐵大王卡內基 (Andrew Carnegie)說過的這段話被引用在這座圖書館的牆上，印象深刻。
․「鋼鐵大王」卡內基（Andrew Carnegie, 1835-1919）從 1901 年開始，大量捐錢建造圖書館，他在 15 年之內，捐了五億美金，建了 2,811 間圖書館。卡內基說：「為社區興建圖書館，就像為一個沙漠引進一條不竭的溪流」。[3]
․我沒去過這間圖書館，只能從以下這段影片的報導，一窺其迷人的樣貌。
